Full Job Description 

Sparta Services is a fast-growing IT Advisory and Solution company. Based in Kirkland, WA serving clients globally.  

 

Our Staff Augmentation division is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper based in the Philippines to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. A CPA certification is a plus, but we primarily value proven expertise in managing end-to-end bookkeeping and financial operations. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Daily & Monthly Accounting Tasks 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in alignment with accounting standards. 

  • Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payments and collections. 

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. 

  • Manage general ledger entries, adjustments, and month-end close activities. 

  • Prepare financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports. 

 

Financial Operations 

  • Track expenses and maintain documentation for audit readiness. 

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. 

  • Monitor cash flow and help identify areas for cost optimization. 

  • Support tax filing preparation and coordination with external accountants. 

 

Tools & Systems 

  • Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar platforms. 

  • Maintain organized and compliant digital records. 

  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives where possible. 

 

Required 

  • 5–8 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience. 

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting. 

  • Advanced proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). 

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. 

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. 

  • Ability to work U.S.-based hours or overlapping schedule. 

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). 

 

Preferred 

  • CPA (Philippines) or equivalent accounting certification. 

  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies or employers. 

  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices for American businesses.
